The Italian Book Club

The Italian Book Club

The Italian Book Club

by Enrica Maria Ferrara

Unlike most Book Clubs which take place monthly, the Italian Book Club will meet more frequently with the discussion on each book spread out over two meetings.

During the first meeting, the facilitator of the "Book Club" will introduce the book and give some information about its author. Then, each participant will have the chance to read aloud selected passages of the book. During the reading, aspects of the book's grammar, its language structures and its lexicon will be highlighted and explained by the facilitator, and participants will be encouraged to ask questions about the passages that they have found more challenging to read.

During the second meeting, each participant will be encouraged to discuss the book and the facilitator will guide the conversation by asking questions about the book's characters, plot, message as well as its style and the overall enjoyment of the reading experience.

The Club consists of 8 Meetings of 2 hours each, for a total of 16 hours.
Classes will have a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 15 participants.
